Hi, I'm Sam, founder of Intuitive Fitness.
Physical activity has always been a big part of my life. Growing up I played tons of sports, eventually playing baseball in college.
After graduation, I jumped into corporate consulting and encountered how challenging it is to stay active in a busy job. It was frustrating to watch my physical capacities decrease. Worse, was seeing the lack of activity impact the rest of my life.
This led me to change my work and reinvigorate my fitness. During stints growing start-ups and founding a food company, I discovered how exercise could maintain my energy and maximize my performance. This inspired me to become a certified personal trainer to work with clients to experience this themselves.
I loved helping clients take ownership of their health and discover the power of fitness. Yet, I always felt like something was missing. The traditional approach is rigid. It tries to force fitness into a scheduled block of time. It often creates dependency instead of autonomy.
Instead, I believe we should focus on helping people fully embrace the power of fitness in their own life. We should recognize that what you do outside of the gym can be just as important as what you do inside it. We can all take ownership of our own health. My goal is to help people discover how fun this journey can be.
